"Boris" Shirt in Handwoven Raw Silk

$155.00

Inspired by the legendary Boris of Kathmandu.

Our Handwoven Raw Silk is a fabric that is patiently and meditatively woven together fiber by fiber on a wooden loom in Nepal. Raw Silk is as rare as it is special, being wonderfully soft, thermally adaptive and resistant to essentially all pests. Raw Silk differs from refined silk (like that found in South-East Asia and China) because it is not refined through boiling which results in a less shinny and more organic look and feel.

Supplies are very limited.

The garment is stitched by artisanal tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.

This garment is also available in Handwoven Linen.

We are working on sizing this garment. Currently it is only available in Medium.

Model is 6’2” and weighs 180 lbs. He is wearing a Medium.

We also offer this garment Made to Measure for an additional fee. Please contact us.
