Bush Shirt + Handwoven Blend of Raw Silk and Cotton
Our Bush Shirt made in a Handwoven Blend of Raw Silk and Cotton.
The form is a classic bush shirt with two breast pockets.
The fiber is a blend of raw silk and cotton patiently and meditatively woven together, thread by thread, on a wooden loom in Nepal.
Raw Silk is as rare as it is beautiful. It’s wonderfully soft, thermally adaptive and resistant to essentially all pests. Raw Silk differs from refined silk (like that predominantly found in South-East Asia) because it is not refined through boiling which results in a less shiny and more organic look and feel.
The garment is stitched by artisanal tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
The Bush Shirt is also available in our Handwoven 100% Linen and Handwoven 100% Raw Silk.
