"Jackie" Shorts in Handwoven Raw Silk
“Jackie” Shorts are an adaption of our “Jackie” Pants made in Handwoven Raw Silk. This fabric is patiently and meditatively woven together, thread by thread, on a wooden loom in Nepal.
Raw Silk is as rare as it is beautiful. It’s wonderfully soft, thermally adaptive and resistant to essentially all pests. Raw Silk differs from refined silk (like that predominantly found in South-East Asia) because it is not refined through boiling which results in a less shiny and more organic look and feel.
Supplies are annual and limited.
The garment is stitched by artisanal tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
Our “Jackie” Shorts are also available in Handwoven Linen and Featherwale Corduroy.
