Made to Measure JacShirt II + Himalayan Tweed
The Form is a restyling of our original JacShirt featuring bigger and broader shoulders, a wider chest and a band collar for a more relaxed fit… still with hand-carved horn buttons.
The Fiber is our Himalayan Tweed, a Heritage Wool. Like all of the fabrics in our Heritage Collection, the cloth used to make this garment is made entirely by hand on a traditional wooden loom. After weaving, our Himalayan Tweed is hand-felted to bind the yarns, producing a fabric that is sturdy enough for cold temperatures.
Our Himalayan Tweed is made using a wool yarn that comes from sheep reared in the Himalaya but is otherwise similar to our Heavy Tweed.
The end result is stitched together by artisan tailors employed in an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
JacShirt II is available in all of our Heritage Wools: Light Tweed, Handwoven Herringbone, Heavy Tweed, Himalayan Tweed, Karnali Natural Tweed and Mugu Merino.
Please contact us to get started.
JacShirt II + Himalayan Tweed is also available in standard size Large. More sizes coming soon.
Handmade in Nepal.
