JacShirt II + Mugu Merino (Made to Measure)
The Form is a restyling of our original JacShirt featuring bigger and broader shoulders, a wider chest and a band collar for a more relaxed fit… still with hand-carved horn buttons.
The Fiber is Mugu Merino, one of our Heritage Wools. Like all of our Heritage Fabrics, the cloth used to make this garment is made entirely by hand: first woven together on a wooden loom, then hand-felted to bind the yarns. This process produces a fabric that is as beautiful as it is hard to find.
Our Mugu Merino is made with wool from Merino sheep that are reared in the remote Mugu region of Nepal, high in the Himalaya. This is our densest and softest Heritage Wool fabric.
The end result is stitched together by artisan tailors employed in an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
JacShirt II is available in all of our Heritage Wools: Light Tweed, Handwoven Herringbone, Heavy Tweed, Himalayan Tweed, Karnali Natural Tweed and Mugu Merino.
Made to Measure. Please contact us to get started.
This garment is also available Ready to Wear in standard sizes.
Handmade in Nepal.
