"Chaplin" Pants in Handwoven Linen

$295.00

Our “Chaplin” Pants in Handwoven Linen are an original design, an homage to Charlie and the times in which he lived. This fabric is patiently and meditatively woven together thread by thread on a wooden loom in Nepal.

“Linen has a highly porous, cooling weave characterized by a slightly rough texture that softens from use. In an age of the wrinkle-free, no-iron, and the highly pressed, the beauty of linen is seen in its ability to corrugate, a mark of old school elegance” (Bruce Boyer).

The stitching is done by artisan tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.

Model 1 (hair bun) is 5’6” and weighs 150 lbs. She is wearing a Medium.

Model 2 (garment only) is 5’5” and weighs 120lbs. She is wearing X-Small.
