“Jackie” Pants made in Handwoven Linen, a fabric that is patiently and meditatively woven together, thread by thread, on a wooden loom in Nepal.

These pants are the garment that started our company. Jacqueline started developing these pants when she was in pattern making school. She wanted something… unique. The fit is easy and comfortable because of the shirred elastic waist.

“Linen has a highly porous, cooling weave characterized by a slightly rough texture that softens from use. In an age of the wrinkle-free, no-iron, and the highly pressed, the beauty of linen is seen in its ability to corrugate, a mark of old school elegance” (Bruce Boyer).

The garment is stitched by artisanal tailors employed by an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.

“Jackie” Pants are also available in Handwoven Raw Silk and Featherwale Corduroy.
