JacShirt II + Karnali Natural Tweed (Made to Measure)
The Form is a restyling of our original JacShirt featuring bigger and broader shoulders, a wider chest and a band collar for a more relaxed fit… still with hand-carved horn buttons.
The Fiber is Karnali Natural Tweed, one of our Heritage Wools. Like all of our Heritage Fabrics, the cloth used to make this garment is made entirely by hand: first woven together on a wooden loom, then hand-felted to bind the yarns. This process produces a fabric that is as beautiful as it is hard to find.
Our Karnali Natural Tweed is made without the use of dyes. The shading and patterns in the fabric are the result of weaving with the natural color variations in the wool. Otherwise our Karnali Natural Tweed is similar to our Himalayan Tweed.
The end result is stitched together by artisan tailors employed in an ethically run, small family business in the Kathmandu Valley with whom we have been working for years.
JacShirt II is available in all of our Heritage Wools: Light Tweed, Handwoven Herringbone, Heavy Tweed, Himalayan Tweed, Karnali Natural Tweed and Mugu Merino.
Made to Measure. Please contact us to get started.
This garment is also available Ready to Wear in standard sizes.
Handmade in Nepal.
